The Nepean-Kanata Rotary club is honored and excited to receive a District Simplified Grant to provide the Michele Heights Community House with a library for their Homework Club and ESL classes, thereby helping members of the community to integrate more quickly into Canadian society. We will receive a grant of $1500, and our club will contribute $2000.
We have been actively involved in the Michele Heights homework club for the last two years, both as tutors and as a contributor of funds to buy needed furniture and supplies. We will work on this project in close cooperation with Pinecrest-Queensway Health and Community Services.
